This a is wonderful school. I never thought I would send my child to a private school when there is free public education. However, my son has been attending this school since second grade and I have seen huge improvement in all areas. They get amble amounts of outdoor time which is part of our family's core values and the outdoor areas are beautiful. There are vegetable gardens that they tend to and there are lots of trees and green spaces for all age groups to enjou. His class takes weekly trips to a creek nearby which is his favorite part of his week. His teachers are caring and extremely knowledgeable. Lastly, the administrative team goes above and beyond in all areas. I cannot say enough good things about this school. I only wish I found it sooner.

This school is exceptional. Everyday we are thankful that we brought both our children here starting at age 3. Our children are confident, kind, compassionate and mannerly. They are able to speak in front of others easily. My son is now in high school and has a 4.0 and is enrolled in several AP classes and in the STEM program. My daughter is in 8th grade, her final year at Mountain View and is completely engaged in learning.

My son has been at this school since he was 4, it's the best decision we made for his education and personal development. This school is much more than a school, it is a community that supports my child and my family. They offer many opportunities for parent education. I have learned so much myself and am grateful for the support. The more involved I become with the school, the more respect I have for it and the important work they do at MVM. This school has done an amazing job of giving my son a well rounded education, preparing him for success in high school, and developing his character.

We have been a Montessori family for over 10 years. Every year, I vowed to reevaluate my childrens' educational, emotional and personal growth to make sure this non-traditional school was working for them. Every year, I am more excited about and supportive of this system of learning. Montessori, and Mountain View in particular, have given my children a beautiful, safe, loving environment in which to develop their best selves, balancing both education and personal development. It has given them more than book learning or math and geography facts alone: it has encouraged them to be curious and passionate about learning, while also emphasizing the importance of respect, empathy and personal responsibility. My kids are happy to go to school every day. MVM also gives my husband and I the chance to be a part of a community of really great, involved parents, where I have made many friends and learned so much about parenting. We are extremely grateful that we found Mountain View Montessori School for our whole family.

We are so grateful for the dedication of the teachers and staff at this school. If you're a parent that wants to provide the best possible education and opportunity for your child(ren) to excel not just mentally, but emotionally and physically you should take the time to consider a Montessori education. However, this is not a school that you can expect to raise your children for you or eliminate any possible hardship. This is not a private school for the sake of private school. As a parent enrolling your child(ren) there is a clear expectation that you are willing to participate in their education, their development, and their emotional growth. The school goes above and beyond in providing opportunities for parents to learn about the Montessori method and even provides parent education courses on positive discipline; educating parents on how to best handle their child's planes of development. It is a non-profit school and therefore they make consistent effort to raise funds for the financial aid program, school improvements and continuing education for their staff. That effort also helps to keep tuition costs down. The children work within their classrooms to raise funds for special projects and trips. This work also builds their character and provides financial education; budgeting, costs/expenses of materials, net vs. gross profit etc. We initially enrolled our child in the primary program and at that time, decided we would reevaluate our decision prior to committing to the lower elementary program. We attended the positive discipline for primary parents education course, taught by the head of the school. We attended the Montessori Education workshop and participated in as many school events as possible. Then we attended Journey & Discovery - that sealed the deal! Interacting with the materials and witnessing the math and science lessons essentially blew my husband's mind. We both walked away from that experience confident that a Montessori education, and especially one from Mountain View Montessori, would be the very best option for our child. The countless hours that the administration, staff and faculty spend helping the students and their families is awe inspiring. Maria Montessori believed that a child is an individual, who must not be shaped but who must shape himself. Such a basic idea but also truly revolutionary.
